World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades provide players with the ability to upgrade their equipment that they already have. This can be done at any item upgrader NPC.
Generally upgrades increase an items main stat and give it additional benefits based on the type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs, or Goldwrap for build casters.
Armour
Link's armor is a crucial factor in keeping him safe from danger. Although it cannot be upgraded like weapons, you can still enhance its defense capabilities in a variety of ways.
Armour is designed to protect people or animals from harm or injury, whether it's from a direct physical attack or a variety of activity or environmental hazards. Historically, the majority of armour was made of fabric or leather, but metal protections were also employed, especially for military applications such as heavy cavalry and combat drones.
Like weapons there are a myriad of ways in which armor can be upgraded, however, most of them will require a visit to one of the four Great Fairy Fountains located throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has a distinct level of upgrade and higher levels of protection requiring more rupees and materials.
The first thing you need to know about Armor Upgrades is they are permanent upgrades, meaning that once they've been applied they cannot be replaced unless you have another piece of equipment with the same upgrade. It is crucial to only apply the most effective level of upgrades to your equipment and ensure that you have the necessary materials to complete the upgrade.
For those who want to acquire the necessary upgrade components to upgrade your character, they are available all over Hyrule such as merchants, shrines, and even enemies. They are typically marked with the blue triangle or gold circle symbol. They are available in large quantities as you progress. They can appear randomly, but there is a possibility that obtaining certain upgrades will trigger a quest that will reward you with even more.
It's also worth noting that, even though the level of protection provided by each upgrade varies, it is the same across all upgrades and will always be superior to nothing. This is because a complete set of upgraded armor will provide you with a substantial defense boost that protects you from all kinds of attacks except magic which makes it a very effective weapon for any class.
Weapons
You can upgrade your guns by using special upgrades that create a truly unique weapon. These upgrades can increase the damage or alter the stats of the weapon in accordance with your particular build. They can also unlock new attachments, such as unique enchantments, different types of ammo, and aesthetic options.
You'll require both the upgrade component as well as the weapon itself to upgrade it. The weapon must be above a certain level for the upgrade to take effect and most weapons only accept one upgrade at one time.
Weapon upgrade components are available all over the world, from enemies or from merchants. The upgrade components themselves are a combination of ingredients that can be incorporated into armor, weapons trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to give an attribute bonus or extra effect when they are in use. They require that the equipment be of a certain level to allow the upgrade. They can be upgraded in the same manner as other items.
The upgrades themselves are a combination of Smithing Stones and Runes, and they are used to improve the stats of a base weapon, and also to increase its scalability with other stats. These upgrades can be obtained from enemies in the open world, or from merchants. They can also be dropped by combat.
Two NPCs can enhance your weapon: Blacksmith Hewg, located in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji, in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.
It's crucial to prioritise upgrading your top-of-the-line items first, and then the ones you won't replace soon. If you're planning on playing a melee build, for instance, upgrade your weapon first, then your shoulders and chest before your feet and hands. The same principle applies to Magic and Utility Items. But, depending on your playstyle, some specific items are more beneficial than others. Armour is the same, with certain Reforges being better than others.

Magic Items
A character can only upgrade one magic item. If an upgrade project is canceled, no further upgrades will be planned for that item. Upgraded magic items cost twice the amount of gold to create or purchase, however they may have additional benefits.
A magical item can be any item that has special properties or effects. Casesgg of these items are weapons, but some include armor, shields as well as cloaks, potions scrolls, rings and other objects. Some of these items may be converted into a sentient.
The majority of magic items can be upgraded so that they are infused with additional abilities. This can make them more useful to players, or can help them overcome a particularly challenging encounter. A weapon that is infused with some special substance could, for instance, provide an extra level of damage to a particular enemy type. This is especially useful for characters that have reached a stage at which they are likely to encounter the same kind of monster in dungeons repeatedly.
A ring with an infusion could grant the ability to resist piercing, bludgeoning or slashing injuries from non-magical attacks (not including silvered ones) until the next time the character is taking a long rest. This is particularly beneficial for melee martial characters or anyone who wants to avoid purchasing a shield.
Some enchanted items have special abilities that let the character cast spells in addition to those on the list of spells for their class. This is helpful for characters who have difficulty filling their spell slots because of multiclassing. These items with enchanted abilities typically require an Intelligence (Arcana) check prior to use them, and the spell cast is determined by rolling an array of tables determined by the number of Intelligence points spent.
Other objects that are enchanted can allow the character's appearance change or create a new appearance. These items can be especially useful for characters that are forced to leave their home or in a place in which they are not accepted. A magical item could provide them with an invisibility effect, or perhaps make them invisible to all other than a selected person.
Utility Items
Utility items are equipment that do not fall under the categories of Clothing, Armor or Weapons and have various capabilities. Contrary to Weapons and Armor they are not a single utility item that can conflict with another. Most utility items provide an effect that a player can activate by using them but some have additional abilities that activate when the user presses an action button or activates an ability.
Generally speaking, the most popular type of utility item is the Flashlight that is used to illuminate the surrounding area. Other utilities include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow the player to float in the air while moving and the Jetpack which allows players to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. A variety of utility items can be instantly manufactured in the Engineering section, while others can be unlocked through research projects or projects at the Proving Ground.
Players can gain more powerful utility items in addition to the ones that are available in their normal inventory by purchasing them at the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Some of these items are upgradeable for more effective use.
The majority of utilitarian items give the player an advantage in navigation or boost the ability to fight. Sharpening stones, crafted by a Weaponsmith will increase power and Ferocity while Maintenance Oils, crafted by a Huntsman, increase Concentration and healing power. Other useful items, such as Writs and Theses made by the Scribe, can be used to give the player an increase in Damage or Condition Damage.
XCOM soldiers can equip a single utility item to begin the campaign. A second slot is available once you have completed certain engineering, research, or experimental projects on the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots are available by equipping an grenade Launcher. This enables the player to make use of a Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade remains in the main slot.
